Fundació Althaia, through IRIS-CC, has won the tender for the technical and communication management of the European Registry on Helicobacter pylori management (Hp-EuReg) project. The three-year contract includes the management of the online research platform REDCap, data quality assessment, the monitoring of researcher participation and the implementation of communication plan for the study. Hp-EuReg is part of the TOGAS (Towards Gastric Screening Implementation in the European Union) project, funded by the European Union’s EU4Health programme.
Anna Cano-Català, Technical Project Manager of the Gastrointestinal Oncology, Endoscopy and Surgery research group (GOES) at Althaia and researcher attached to IRIS-CC, is in charge of the management.
With a sample of over 70,000 patients and nearly 400 active investigators, Hp-EuReg aims to assess the diagnosis, management strategies and treatment of adult patients infected with Helicobacter pylori across Europe. Helicobacter pylori is the most common chronic infection worldwide and the main cause of diseases such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer.
