Dr. Gallach is a specialist in Gastroenterology, with a well-established career in gastroenterology, hepatology, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and inflammatory bowel disease.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Barcelona and completed her residency in Gastroenterology at Hospital de Sabadell (Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí). She further developed her academic training with a master’s dissertation on chronic hepatitis C treatment and earned her PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with a doctoral thesis focused on the evaluation of multidisciplinary teamwork in the management of chronic hepatitis C. She has also expanded her training in endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and mountain medicine.
Her professional career has been mainly developed in hospital-based clinical practice. After her residency and subsequent work as staff physician at Hospital de Sabadell, where she combined clinical activity in gastroenterology, emergency care, and endoscopy, she also carried out endoscopy activity at Hospital de Manresa. Since 2019, she has been working as staff physician at Consorci Hospitalari de Vic, with activity in outpatient clinics, a dedicated inflammatory bowel disease clinic, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopy on-call duties.
In the scientific field, she has a solid research track record, with publications in national and international journals and active participation in congresses and clinical research projects. Her research has focused particularly on hepatology, gastrointestinal bleeding, Helicobacter pylori, endoscopy, and inflammatory bowel disease. She has also been involved in university teaching linked to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
